Espai Ciència is a showcase of schools and organizations linked to science within the Saló de l'Ensenyament in Barcelona. The proposal aims to create a space that feels like a shared space, maintaining coherence despite being a collection of small stands and numerous independent participants. To achieve this, textile panels serve as a backdrop for each space, unifying the whole and creating a circular geometry that is distinguishable as a single entity.
A stand of stands, an agora that brings together all the participants and through which visitors can move freely while still maintaining the unity of each individual space. The perception of the space as a whole is enhanced by the distribution of the lighting structure, which follows a consistent direction and rhythm throughout.
The following year, the same concept and materials were used, but with larger spaces for each participant and the addition of carpet flooring to define the area available to the exhibitors. With this widening, the circular geometry of the complex unfolds, encompassing more space and further opening itself up to visitors.
